ENABLIS HOLDS COCKTAIL RECEPTION IN TORONTO ON NOVEMBER 22ND
IN HONOR OF ITS INTERNATIONAL MENTORING PROGRAM’S FIFTH ANNIVERSARY
Montréal, October 27th, 2016 – To celebrate the fifth anniversary of its International Mentoring Program, Enablis will be hosting a cocktail reception in Toronto on Tuesday, November 22nd 2016 at Malaparte. As part of a celebration of the ‘Month of International Mentoring’ at Enablis, this fundraising cocktail will recognize the commitment of devoted mentors involved with Enablis’s most promising entrepreneurs in a one-of-kind mentoring program.
Enablis is a Canadian non-profit organization with a mission to support SME entrepreneurs who create jobs in developing and emerging countries leading to sustainable economic growth. It supports SME entrepreneurs in Africa and Latin America through networking, peer support, capacity building and mentoring.
Mentoring is a key element of Enablis’s programming. More specifically, international mentoring is one of Enablis’s main differentiating factors when it comes to entrepreneurial support in developing countries. This program involves successful business executives from Canada and mentees part of the Enablis Entrepreneurial Network who commit to sharing their challenges with a remote mentor.
Five years after the launch of the program, 78 mentors and as many mentees have been successfully paired. The positive impact of the program is undeniable: while Enablis entrepreneurs create an average of 8 jobs, Enablis mentees create two additional jobs during their 2-year pairing with an international mentor.
The fundraising cocktail will take place at Malaparte from 6 to 8 p.m. Guests will have the pleasure of meeting Enablis International Mentors from Toronto who will share their rewarding experience of helping Enablis members in the development of their businesses. The funds raised will benefit the Enablis Foundation that supports Enablis operations, including the management and expansion of its International Mentoring Program. Tickets for the event are on sale for $150 – with a portion tax deductible.
Enablis is very grateful to its sponsors Accenture, Divine Chocolate and Manyatta for their support.
